Donald J. Odom
Passed away on August 13, 2018
Donald J. Odom, 91, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital with his family by his side. He was born October 12, 1926 in Augusta, GA to the late Julian F. and Dorothy Collins Odom.
Mr. Odom was retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving 22 years. He participated in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church and was retired from Gulfstream Aerospace.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Lillian Watson Johnson Odom, daughter, Debra J. Hinds (Marshall K.), son Jerry R. Johnson (Melanie), three grandchildren, Rachel, Alexander, and Sarah Johnson.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2018 at Windsor Forest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be 2:00 p.m. in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery with full military honors.

Difficult times such as these are made better when we consider Jehovah's comforting words found in the Bible.1 Corinthians 15:26 helps comfort us in knowing that God's Kingdom will bring death to it's end. This is just one of many comforting promises that Jehovah will fulfill. I hope this brings you some comfort during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the Odom family an friends. Losing a loved one is never easy but please read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 26. This scripture tells us that soon death will be done away with for good. That is a time we are all looking forward to.
